GENERAL BY-LAWS

1.  What is a Member?  - Pigeon Fancier who is current in all dues and fees of the Club and are of good character.

2.  Holding of Meetings - Periodic meetings will be held at all Club Shows.

3.  Notice to Meetings - All Members shall be notified of Shows and Meetings a minimum of seven days prior to the date of the occasion, in writing or News Letter.

4.  Quorum - At a General Meeting, seven Members must personally be present.  All Members must be given a minimum of Seven (7) days notice in writing or News Letter.

5.  Officers - The Officers may be nominated previous to the Annual Meeting.  Ballots will be forwarded to the Members for voting.  Those receiving the majority of votes will take office at the January Meeting for a three-year term.

6.  President - The President presides over all meetings and business transactions.  In many cases he is the spokesman for the Club, and may be the one to meet the public should the need arise.  The President will break all tie votes and  is automatically on all committees in an advisory capacity.  The President is your leader and the "cheerleader" for creating enthusiasm and participation.

7.  Secretary - The Secretary is the cornerstone of the Club.  He or she will send notices of all club meetings, keep the minutes, and conduct the general correspondence of the Club.  It is the Secretary that will order and issue the bands, and keep the records.  The secretary is responsible for keeping the By-Laws and Rules current and issue all revisions to the Members.  It is the responsibility of the Secretary to make sure band orders are returned to the Club in a timely manner.  Essentially, he is the one that keeps the records and writes it down so there are no misunderstandings down the road.

8.  Treasurer - The Treasurer is responsible for the financial assets of the Club and will submit a financial accounting to the membership, or as directed by the President and keeps the President informed as to any delinquent (member) accounts.  He is responsible to pay the Club's invoices.  The Treasurer keeps in his custody the books and records pertaining to the Club and deposits all monies received for dues, bands, surplus received from shipping or any other sources into the Club's official bank account.

9.  Vacancies in the Officer - If a vacancy shall exist in the ranks of the officers, it shall be filled by one of the remaining eligible members.

10.  Changing of By-Laws - the Members may from time to time, add, repeal, or re-enact these by-laws but any amendment will not come in force until the Annual Meeting of the forthcoming year.

11.  Nomination for Office - Any senior Member can run for any office of the Club.

12.  Dues - Seniors - $20.00 / Juniors-Free - All dues must be paid January 1st or seven days prior to all Club Shows, or be eligible for Club Specials.  Any new Member joining the Club after October 1st shall automatically become a paid Member for the forthcoming year.

13.  Misdemeanors - Any Member acting in a manner discreditable or injurious to the interest of the Club, or its Members, shall upon written notice to the Secretary, signed by two Members, be expelled from the Club - provided two thirds of the Members shall vote at any meeting of the Club so called.  At the meeting of the Offending member shall have the opportunity of appearing and defending himself against the charges.  Any Member so expelled shall forfeit all Club Privileges immediately.

14.  The Club shall not be dissolved so long as five (5) Members can be found who are willing and able to undertake the duties and responsibilities of the Club.  If this is not possible, the trophies and awards shall be returned to the Donors or Vendors, and other Club properties shall be disposed of at an Auction with the money received being equally divided among the remaining Paid-Up Members.

15.  To keep the Master Breeders in the Club, a Grand Master Breeder System that would allow Master Breeders to start at 100 points and go to 300 points to achieve this new goal.


SHOW AND EXHIBITION RULES

1.  All birds must be CSRC banded (seamless) except where the Exhibitor has been a member for less than Two (2) years.

2.  All young birds must be seamless and registered with CSRC bands.

3.  All birds shown at CSRC Shows are shown in the proper class.

4.  That all annual trophies must be returned in good condition, one year later.

5.  There must be at least two exhibitors in any colour class before anything will be awarded, including Master Breeder Points.

6.  That Show Entry Fees must be in to the Show Secretary at least one week prior to the Show Date (entry fees to be determined at the Annual January meeting).  Nomination young birds entered in the Nomination Show are free.  No entries or changes will be taken on the day of the Show unless pre-arranged.  No phone entries will be accepted.

7.  That, if a CSRC Member is a Judge at any Show, the Show Committee will arrange, if possible, for him to have the birds stewarded.

8.  When a Club designates a Judge for Shows, that Judge will be reimbursed $50.00, and any Senior Judge traveling a distance of 50 miles or more to a CSRC Show will be reimbursed $50.00.

9.  That the Club Shows will be held at a suitable place to be designated prior to the Show.

10.  All Entry Fees must be in to the Show Secretary one week previous to the Show.  No Entries or changes will be taken the day of the Show unless pre-arranged.  No phone entries will be accepted.

11.  At the Nomination Show, Young Birds shown by a junior must be nominated and registered in his or her name.  Nominated Old Birds may be shown, but do not have to be registered in his or her name.  Nominated Old Birds may be shown, but do not have to be registered in his or her name.

12.  Judging will commence promptly at the designated time.

13.  No Member shall interfere verbally or otherwise with the Judge in respect to the birds, or his or her judging.  The Show Chairman has the authority to ask any Member who is in violation of this rule to stop immediately.  If the Member continues to interfere, the Show Chairman shall promptly advise the President of the Members discreditable actions.

14.  Trophies to be as follows:  (i) Show Champion; (ii) Best Old Cock; (iii) Best Old Hen; (iv) Best Young Cock; (v) Best Young Cock;  (v) Best Young Hen; and (vi) Reserve Champion.

15.  Any Junior Member entering birds must register bands in their own name.  Once a bird has been shown by a Junior Member that bird cannot be shown again by a Senior Member for the entire season.

16.  Junior Members must be 16 years of age and shall be governed by the same Rules and Regulations as Senior Members with the exception of trophies awarded.  One trophy per class shall be awarded to the Junior Class per Show.  If they elect to - Junior Members may show in the Senior Class.

17.  Every Club Member has an option to purchase a maximum of no more than 15 Nomination Bands or less as they choose.  All Members are exempt from entry fees for Young Birds at the Annual Nomination Show with current year nominated banded young birds.

18.  The Nomination Bands will be sold at $2.00 each.  The Champion Young Bird of the Nomination Show shall be awarded $100.00.  Entry fees for old nominated birds at the Nomination Show will be $1.50 per bird.

19.  The Exhibitor of the Champion Show Roller at the Woodstock Specialty Show will judge the Show Rollers at the Woodstock Specialty Show the follow year.

Any Amendment to these Rules must be made at the Annual Meeting and duly approved by ballots in a Newsletter to ALL Members of the CSRC.
